For over 60 years, the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) has been a driving force in maintaining high standards in therapy education and practice in the UK. We are proud to have our courses accredited by the FHT as this means that they are recognised internationally as meeting the highest standards, providing students with the confidence that they are receiving quality training.
This one-day workshop is FHT Accredited and requires a minimum level 3 qualification in massage therapy.
This course is designed to enable massage therapists to deliver a safe and effective treatment using more advanced techniques. This is a practical led course under supervision so that you may gain both confidence and expertise in the various techniques demonstrated by the trainer. Throughout the day, we will discuss the anatomy and structure of the muscles you are working on. We will also discuss contra indications to massage therapy. As a result, you will be competent and able to provide deep tissue massage to your clients.

This course, which requires candidates to be qualified at a minimum of level 3, focuses on all types of massage including deep tissue and is designed to enable massage therapists to deliver safe and effective massage treatments.

Healthwell Academy offers courses via Guild Training International. Offering a range of massage and holistic courses combining online and practical training, allowing you the flexibility to study the online part of the course at your own pace.
Some of the courses are online only, which means you complete the full course online to suit your own schedule.
GTi courses are fully accredited by The Guild for membership and insurance.
Enrolment details
Once you have booked your training course, with us, you will be sent a link for your on-line theory training with GTi. You will need to pay the enrolment and theory fee of £25 directly to GTi, you will be able complete the theory modules for the course right away.
Once you have completed the theory modules, you will need to attend your practical training at Healthwell Academy. When booking your practical training session, we will issue you with an invoice which will need to be paid 14 days prior to your practical training.
When you have successfully completed your practical training, your tutor will pass you and a GTi Certificate will be available for you to download or purchase on your portal.

Acupressure is a technique that aims to reduce tension in muscles as well as improving blood circulation and promoting relaxation. Acupressure is performed using the fingers and palms pressing onto key points around the body. It is based on the concept of life energy that flows though meridians in the body. Illness can occur when there is an imbalance or blockage of energy within these channels therefore physical pressure can help to restore this energy balance. This course will cover the meridian system that exists in the body and the most common acupressure points and what they are effective for. You will also cover various acupressure techniques which can be used and even incorporated into a massage treatment. You will also be given tips on how to apply acupressure accurately.
